San Diego Charger's Stadium: To Keep or Relocate?

Lately it seems that sports stadiums have been popping up left and right. These stadiums cost millions to billions of dollars yet teams seem to build them even though some of their stadiums are still pretty recent. In the NFL alone there have been 14 new stadiums built since the year 2000 and more are on the way. The team that is to be focused on is the San Diego Chargers who are planning to construct a new stadium and there has been arguments as to where it will be built. Fans that live in San Diego want the new stadium built where their current stadium is now to keep traditions and memories associated with their old one, but there has been talk that it will be built in Carson, California and shared with their rivals the Oakland Raiders and the fans disagreed with this and even petitioned the stadium relocation. In this group of petitioners former Chargers player Nick Hardwick supported the idea of keeping it in San Diego. I am all about traditions and keeping memories alive, but they have to think about how much money it is going to cost the city and its citizens if it were to build a new one to replace the old one. Homes in San Diego are already expensive for the most part and with a new stadium means way higher taxes. The new stadium to be built in Carson will be financed by both the Chargers and Raiders. There has also been talk that the investment company Goldman Sachs would help finance the new stadium if it gets moved to Carson. So, fans have to think are some traditions and memories worth the extra money or not? Some would say yes and others no. It will be interesting to hear about what happens when the decision is made.
